Each Money-Ed-Box is made up of four separate compartments with each compartment designed to teach a specific concept.

The first two compartments, Giving and Living, have lids with hinges for easy access to the money that needs to be spent to live every day. The second two compartments called Saving and Wealthing are actually screwed down to show that we need to put money away for the medium and longer term and not touch it until we absolutely need it.

In particular:

• For the Giving compartment, we encourage children to save up to give money for charity (something we as adults need to do ourselves!).

• The Saving compartment is for short term savings like a new toy or CD. Interestingly it has a screwed down lid (well temporarily at least) to really show that his money is not to be easily touched.
  
• Wealthing is for money that is to put away for the long term. This compartment also has a screwed down lid to show that wealthing is a long, long term thing.
